Andre Collins - Author
The first book in the Adventures of Little Andre What Teammates Do was released in August 2007. The book also marked the beginning of MVP Kids books. A native of Cinnaminson, NJ, Andre Collins was a standout at inside linebacker and known as a big-play specialist during his Penn State career. A member of the 1986 National Championship team, Collins was also selected as a First Team All-American in 1989. One of nineteen children, Andre is one of five brothers to adorn the blue and white at Penn State including Gerry, Phil, Jason and Aaron.
In 1990, the Washington Redskins selected Collins as their first pick in the NFL draft. 1991, brought more success as Andre became a Superbowl Champion, a major highlight to a ten year career in professional football, which included playing for the Cincinnati Bengals, Chicago Bears and Detroit Lions. As a husband and father of three, Andre now draws his strength and inspiration from his family of teammates.
